The Full Form of NEET: National Eligibility Entrance Test
NEET Stands for National Eligibility Entrance Test. NEET is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Government of India. Which is conducted by the National Examination Agency (NEA).
The NEET exam is the requirement for admission into medical courses such as MBBS and BDS, which prepare students to become doctors. The NEET entrance exam is conducted once a year. There are two types of NEET exams-
- NEET UG – It is conducted for those students who want to take admission to undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, and BAMS.
- NEET PG – It is conducted at the national level for taking admission to MD and MS Medical (Post Graduate) courses.
Eligibility of NEET Exam

- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The minimum and maximum age limitation for the NEET Entrance exam should be between 17-25 years.
- The applicant must have completed the 12th grade with at least a 50 percent overall grade in subjects like physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English, as well as 50 percent in each of those subjects individually.
- the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category. The minimum marks required for them to obtain in the HSC examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology have been capped at 40%.
