Frist time ASCII was devloped in 1963. In such a short period of time, it has become extremely popular and widely utilized in the computing industry.
It was initially used commercially as the Bell Data Services’ Seven-bit Teleprint Code. It is based mostly on the English alphabet.
It encodes 128 characters in Seven Bit Binary Integer format. It was originally a 6-bit character set, however, it has now been upgraded to a 7-bit character set.
