The Full Form of NDRF: National Disaster Response Force
NDRF Stands for National Disaster Response Force. NDRF is a force of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India that has been formed to rescue the people from natural or man-making disasters such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, etc. in the country and to bring them from the affected area to a safer area.
The NDRF force was formed under Section 44 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 with a paramilitary lines force of 12 battalions consisting of 3 BSF, 3 CRPF, 2 CISF, 2 ITBP, and 2 SSB forces.
